ADJUST BALL HEIGHT - Insert hitch bar into hitch box and install pull pin. Place mount onto hitch bar; move up or down for proper height. The holes are 1.50" apart. Hitch bar may be used either up or down.
HITCH BALL SELECTION - Ball diameter must match trailer coupler size. The three most common sizes are 1- 7/8", 2", and 2-5/16". Select ball with 1" threaded shank that is V-5 rated equal to or greater than trailer gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR).
ATTACH BALL TO MOUNT - Use a standard height hitch ball with 1" shank supplied with a lockwasher and nut. Always use a lockwasher and place washer next to nut. Unless otherwise specified by ball manufacturer torque ball nut to 250 ft/lbs. for 1" nut after mount is attached to hitch.
Always offset ball mount towards tongue of trailer. Never towards tow vehicle.
WARNING: Raised balls usually have reduced load ratings. Ball rating must equal or exceed trailer GVWR.
